I’m proud to present, the System – Google Analytics (No Cookies) Joomla system plugin.

As the name suggests, this plugin provides a cookie free method of communicating with Google Analytics.

I had several users share links to a site demoing GDPR extensions, but as that site requires consent before cookies can be placed, I couldn’t view the analytics for the arriving users – so I created a way to do have analytics data and maintain compliance with the GDPR regulations as well.

I had to rename the plugin to remove the word “Free” – because that violates Joomla naming rules. The plugin works the same – it just has a new name.
